This spacious bunk bed is crafted from solid pine and features a natural-colored pine finish covered in a protective lacquer sealant that gives it a soothing glow. It's full of options and versatility. First, you can order the bunk bed only if you're just looking for some standard, good-looking sleeping arrangements. Or you can make the most of your space by adding the optional under-bed drawers or trundle bed. The drawers are great for extra clothing and toy storage, while the trundle is ideal for sleepovers.

The top bunk features safety rails on all sides and a sturdy ladder for climbing into bed each night. Slat packs are included and metal-to-metal rail connections will make assembly easy. Keep in mind that this bunk bed is also designed to be separated into two full-size beds when the time is right. The distance between the bunks is 36 inches.

Free mattresses available are Sleep Time Mattresses. This full sized mattress is constructed of durable polyester knit and sports a 1/4 inch quilted fire barrier on the top and border. The smooth bottom panel is also flame resistant to keep you extra safe in the event of an emergency. The mattress is filled with a double layer of High Density Dream Soft polyurethane foam for added comfort. Mattress measures 73L x 52W x 5.75 inches.

Now I have only built one of the two beds (the top one with the rails) because our youngest to be wont arrive until december but we wanted to get my son out of his crib before the baby was born and eventually we will need the bunks. This bed is exactly what I expected and I am very pleased with it. I'm practical and a very picky, research minded shopper and always want to make sure I get what I paid for. I was a little reluctant buying this sight unseen but with the reviews from others I decided to go for it and am glad I did, so in return I wanted to post a straightforward review so others just like me will know what they are getting......it's a great bed for the price. Don't fool yourself and think you are getting a solid oak, top of the line, hand-crafted bunk bed that will last hundreds of years and be passed down from generation to generation. It is a sturdy, nicely built, smoothly finished pine frame held together with inch long dowels and allen bolts/screws and wood slots for the mattress support (the color in the pictures is also very accurate). A very practical solution for those needing bunk beds for young children. I think if you are getting this for kids in their teens or adults it may not be the way to go, but I guess most bunk beds probably aren't practical for adults anyway. Not to say it won't hold an adult because I lay in bed with my son (on the bottom of course, remember I havent stacked them yet) and read to him every night before he goes to bed (Im 6'4, 200lbs) but I think over time it may wear on the frame if 200 lbs are sleeping on this 8 hours a night and constanly getting in and out of it. Not to mention I think the clearance once the top bunk is in place may be a head knocker for a bigger person. I believe the manufacturer lists weight restrictions too, so check those out. Also, too thick of a mattress could leave the bed rails obselete on the top bed. We have whats probably a pretty typical 12" thick mattress (with slight pillow top) and I was worried it may not leave enough rail where my son could roll over it. It probably leaves 4" of rail above the mattress, which has been plenty to keep him from rolling off, but if you've got a real mover and a shaker beware of over doing the thickness of your matress. I will probably leave this mattress for the bottom bunk and go with a thinner mattress once this bed is stacked on top to get more railing exposed. Also, if you plan on seperating the beds and are still wanting to use the railings like I am currently doing, be aware that the partial railing on one side requires the ladder to hold the end in place (you can tell if you look at the pic close enough). I fixed this by making my own 18" piece and drilling my own holes to match the pre-drilled holes in the ladder rail (although this may be a warranty void or something). This gives the end of the partial rail side the support it needs (while still leaving an opening for my son to get out of bed) until I stack the beds and put on the ladder. Finally, the instructions aren't that great either, like others have mentioned, but there aren't too many pieces to put together anyway. I pretty much put one bed together in a half an hour once I got all my parts laid out. And unless you are not handy at all, you could probably figure it out without the instructions anyway. (One tip: Make sure you have the "barely visible" guide holes in the middle of the side safety rails facing out for the vertical supports to be screwed into, thats the one thing I missed and had to re-do). [...] Sorry I am so long winded, just wanted to help out as much as possible. Bottom line........if you need a bunkbed, its a great bed for children for the price.

Using the beds seperately now but plan to use as bunk beds when twins get older. I like quality but also getting a good deal and this was both compared to the many other bed options I looked at.

    Service and delivery comments:

There was an issue with the one mattress when it arrived. I called right away and it was taken care of immediately. Great service!!

The beds are exactly what I wanted and expected and quick/easy to assemble. Matresses a little thin but they are free and so no complaints on that since they will work very well for a number of years for us.

Service was amazing!! They was a tear in the one mattress and I called right away about it. NO PROBLEMS- given a new replacement right away. I couldn't ask for better service and will continue to buy products here because of it.

Comments about Woodcrest Ethan Full over Full Bunk Bed:

I bought this bed to put in my daughter's room. We're having another baby and they are going to share a room. I needed a space to sleep in if the baby is having a "I need Mommy" night, and figured the bunks would be perfect for that purpose, plus give both girls their own bed when the baby is big enough. My daughter loves this bed. She's almost 6, and it makes her feel like a big girl to sleep up top. I have laid on the bottom bunk, and it's quite comfortable. There were 2 mattresses included, which are comfortable now, but I expect I'll probably have to replace them before I have to replace the beds. They're a little thin. [...] There was actually some damage to the lower bed headboard that looked like it might have happened during assembly at the factory, but it was nothing so major that I was willing to wait for another shipment to have it fixed. All of the holes drilled for the bolts lined up perfectly, but some of the guide punches for the screws that needed to be put in were missing...luckily my husband and I are both pretty handy with simple tools. :) All in all, it's a great bed for the price and I'm happy with my purchase.

This is a great bunkbed, and I would recommend this to anyone. We are using this in a high-traffic rental condo. My 7 year old helped me put it together, and we had it built in 3-4 hours total. All in all, a great value, and the kids love it![...] we're happy and we'll likely buy another one soon.

Comments about Woodcrest Ethan Full over Full Bunk Bed:

It should tell you to use a drill and not a screwdriver, that would chop at least an hour off. The holes were not drilled at the bottom to connect the ladder to the bed so I am going to have to get a drill and drill a hole myself to attach screws so the ladder can be stable. MAny of the screws were so hard to turn my writst hurt and my thumb was purple. It does look nice in the end but I am not sure if it was worth all the hassle.
