Comments about All Other Brands|Ameriwood Granite Twin over Futon Bunk Bed:
We purchased the twin over futon bed for our 13 year old daughter's room, which is quite small. She needed more of a "teen-like" room, as well as a comfortable bed for guests (and a sofa for watching TV), and we thought this would be the solution. The piece is quite large. I haven't measured it yet, but it seems to be bigger than measurements given. It does appear to be quite stable and solid. The directions were easy to follow and pieces labeled well; however, it did take my husband and his friend (and they are both contractors) well over two hours to assemble. There are A LOT of pieces. While one of the small plastic tabs was defective, and the bottom end cap on one of the posts broke off, the bed does seem well-made. I do wish the piece was not quite so tall as making the top bunk is going to be a hassle and definitely a two-person task.
