The support slats for both the Futon section and the twin bed section were not long enough to sit easily on the rail supports. Also, compared to a typical Futon, there were not nearly enough support slats. Futons do not usually have coil spring activation, expected more of a true Futon construction. I had to add enough slats without adding too much more weight to feel more secure about its ability to withstand teenage usage.
