Comments about Savannah Twin over Futon Bunk Bed:
This bed was exactly what we expected. It is rustic looking, just like in the picture. The instructions for the futon mechanism and bunk bed support rods could have beed better, but we got it together in a couple of hours.
My teenage son loves this bed. I would recommend it.

Comments about Savannah Twin over Futon Bunk Bed:
I don't normally but right reviews but when I was the 2 reviews that were posted were negative. I had to write my own. Give these beds a chance. We ordered two sets of these bunk beds just before our third child was born. Our twin 5 year olds (at the time) love them. They were easy enough to put together if you take your time and aren't 8 months pregnant. We ordered everything from SImplybunkbeds, matresses, bunkie boards, sets etc...We have had them going on 3 years now and they are good as new. Even after our oldest children have literally swung from the banisters, jumped, and landed o them. The finish color is meant to be slightly un even but to tell you the truth I haven't noticed a REAL "unevenness" about the finish. The Description does read "Rugged" which to me says Rustic and perhaps uneven. Not pristine. We love them and would buy them again.

Comments about Savannah Twin over Futon Bunk Bed:
We finally got to putting this together after our initial disappointment with the wood and finish quality. It did not come with instructions for the futon mechanism. And the side boards were warped. The instructions that were provided were not detailed enough. Basically we were guessing putting this thing together.

Comments about Savannah Twin over Futon Bunk Bed:
We were surprised when we opened the packages that the finish was so uneven, and some parts were so rough that they would scratch the sleeper or user. The construction was also not to our satisfaction. Holes drilled are rough, some parts put together with staples, and one staple sticking out of wood is a safety hazard. We have not yet put the bed together, so we don't know how sturdy it is. We are in the process of returning it. People should know that this is product is beyond the rustic look, it also has rustic (rough) feel to the finish.
