I am 6' tall and the top rail comes to right about my chest when standing next to the bed. Very easy to give "good night" hugs and kisses! Finish was beautiful. After you get the headboard, footboard & side rails attached, this can easily be put together by one person. It took me about an hour to put it together. The directions are VERY easy. My only complaint is that they don't provide you with at least one "extra" screw for each set as most put-together-yourself furniture pieces do.

My 3 yr old loves it got a mattress bunk bed according to specification but was too small we just filled the gaps. Either way a great investment for years of enjoyment.

We bought this loft bed because we own a small cape. My son loves it!!! It is just the right height to place a low dresser underneath and yet still enough room for my son to play. Hayneedle was prompt in delivering and it was the most inexpensive place to purchase this item. (Free Shipping!!! Can't beat that. The slide is a little long! But we leave it off during the week and let our son play on the weekends with it. He loves it! If your hooks to the slide don't fit, contact Hayneedle!
