The Schoolhouse Stairway Loft Bed - White is, to put it lightly, utterly ingenious. The heart of all furniture is in the construction, and solid hardwood makes this piece as strong as an ox. Three drawers and a rolling toy box are integrated in the four stairs, effectively making this piece a dresser in itself. At the opposite end of the staircase is the desk, which may be faced inward or outward not to mention interchanged with the stairs to suit your individual needs and preferences. The loyal guardrail will ever keep this bed's occupant aloft, and you may choose the optional lower bed, in twin or full sizes to accommodate anyone of any age. It doesn't get cooler than this.

We ordered this bed for my daughters 4th b-day and she LOVES it!
We were very nervous about ordering such a large piece of furniture online without being able to see it in person or know its quality but we just couldn't find what we wanted in any local furniture stores. Needless to say we are very pleased with the product. My husband and I were able to put it together in about 3 hours. The directions are unclear in some parts so you really need to pay attention and also use some common sense. Thankfully the bed was packaged nicely and nothing was damaged or broken.
We only have two complaints-
1) The shipping process took forever. We ordered in the beginning of Jan 2013 and it was finally delivered the last week of Jan 2013. It worked out for us because my daughters b-day is beginning of Feb. I'm not sure if this length of time for shipping is normal or if it was just the delivery company they used in our area was super busy.
2) We were unable to order the bottom full-size bed at the time we purchased. I e-mail the company and they told me it was unavailable. About a week later the option was back on the website, it would have been nice to know that they would get it back in stock so I could order all at once.
** Needless to say, both of our complaints are not major and would not effect if we encouraged friends to purchase the same item.

Exactly what I envisioned
Thie loft bed is gorgeous with quality pine wood and an elegant finish. The only aesthetic disappointment is the prominence of screws against the white finish without a discreet cover.

We bought this for our 9 year old daughter. She has a tiny room. This loft bed fit perfectly and increased the usable space by creating the desk area underneath. The materials are high quality. The only draw backs were: 1) The instructions for putting it together were confusing. 2) When we had to lift the staircase to an upright position, we damaged one side of the bottom toy drawer a tiny bit. MAKE SURE you have 2 people lifting, and you must lift the entire piece off the ground to avoid breaking the side of the drawer.
Overall, this is a gorgeous piece of furniture, and yes, we would buy it again!

Bed came in several large heavy boxes, I opened them up and carried the pieces individually up to my daughters room. I assembeled the bed myself (had to get creative at a few points) but I recommend two people. Took me a couple of hours. Highly recommend using a power drill as there are alot of screws to install. Overall, assembly was pretty easy just time consuming. My daughter loves it.

The loft bed w/stairs looks good when done but took us all day (8 hours) to build. The directions are not straight forward. One important wood piece broke so we had to add hinges to avoid any structural damage. I would buy this again but hire someone else to build it. thanks "stressed out"
